Business Environment
The Business Environment and Enterprise Performance Survey (BEEPS), developed jointly by
the World Bank and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, is a survey raw
data (Stata and Excel) and questionnaire for 1999, 2002, 2005, and 2009 surveys, visit EBRD
(here).
Demographics, Health, and Education
Demographic and Health Surveys are nationally-representative household surveys that provide
data for a wide range of monitoring and impact evaluation indicators in the areas of population,
health, and nutrition. Surveys are available for 2000 and 2005; 2010 is pending release.
Household Surveys
Household surveys for 2004-2010 (xls and sav files) can be downloaded from the Armenian
State Statistical agency (Armstat). Registration is required.
Sociological survey on household migration (2002-2005) can be downloaded from Caucasus
Research Resources Centers (CRRC). Registration required.
Household surveys for 2006-20010 can be downloaded from the Caucasus Research
Resource Centers (CRRC). Registration required. The CRRC's annual Data Initiative (DI)
survey was renamed into Caucasus Barometer (CB) starting from 2010.

The Life in Transition Survey
The Life in Transition Survey (LiTS), conducted jointly by EBRD and the World Bank in 2006,
assesses the impact of transition on people through their personal and professional
experiences during the first 15 years of transition (Stata and CSV files). LiTS attempts to
understand how these personal experiences of transition relate to people’s attitudes toward
market and political reforms, as well as their priorities for the future. The data consist of 29,000
households, with 1,000 for each of the 29 countries surveyed; 16 countries in Central and
Eastern Europe (CEE) and 11 in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), plus Turkey
and Mongolia.
LiTS 2010 surveyed about 39,000 households in 34 countries, which include France, Germany,
Italy, Sweden, and the UK as benchmark countries.
2001 Armenian Population Census
A 10 percent sample of the census data is available from ipums and Armstat.
